Description

Help support the finish of this long-awaited re-route! We will be gathering materials and constructing a reinforced switchback. By night, enjoy a frontcountry campout with the crew and CDTC staff. Plus- a crew chef will be joining the project to make sure everyone is fed and fueled for each day!

This project is made possible with generous support from OnX and Toyota.

What we'll be doing: We will be working on the reinforced switchback and tie-in points of the Jacks Peak reroute.

Location: Jacks Peak Trailhead on the Silver City Ranger District of the Gila National Forest. The closest amenities are in Silver City.

Logistics: Arrive the evening of Thursday, October 23rd, working through the afternoon of Sunday, October 26th.

Other Logistics: Frontcountry camping OR commuting from Silver City (30 mins from SC), CDTC will provide water, PPE, and leadership for the entirety of the project. Participants are welcome to commute from Silver City or camp with staff on site.
