In 2019, the Continental Divide Trail changed my life. During my thru-hike, I met the love of my life, and we bonded over our shared love for trails and the outdoors. Experiencing the trail together showed us we wanted to give back to the people and places that make it possible. That shared passion inspired us to start Open Space Brewing, a craft brewery to build community around trails and conservation. 

We decided to make Silver City, New Mexico our home so we could stay close to the trail that brought us together. Every time we see hikers passing through or locals out on the trail, it reminds us how special the CDT is and why protecting it matters. 

As a Board Member for the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, I’m so proud to give back and help the CDT continue to inspire people. Any amount you give helps protect and complete this beautiful trail and hopefully inspires more love stories along the trail!
